Cornerstone Parent Organization
The Cornerstone Parent Organization is a diverse group of parents and caregivers dedicated to supporting and enhancing the rich learning environment at Cornerstone School through family-friendly events, creative fundraisers and engaging classroom activities. Every parent of an enrolled child is a member of the Parent Organization. We encourage you to help out throughout the year. There are many opportunities to donate time, talent and financial assistance to enrich the lives of our children. The CPO depends on parent volunteers to meet fundraising goals and maintain our exciting event schedule. Some of our activities include parent socials and fundraisers, book fairs, the winter play & bake sale, children's consignment sales and the end-of-year picnic.
Another valuable way to contribute to the enrichment of your child’s Cornerstone experience is to be a Class Parent. Volunteering to be a class parent is a fun way to get more involved at Cornerstone and is a great way to get to know other parents, the teachers and students. As class parents, you will have the opportunity to:
- Communicate CPO & School Initiatives with the parents of the class
- Support the Classroom as needed
- Organize one parent social and one class playdate per semester (fall & spring)
- Volunteer or help solicit volunteers for school-wide events
- Organize class gifts for teachers
We look forward to working with every member of our Cornerstone family to make each year spectacular! Keep an eye out for CPO emails or contact the CPO Chairs directly for more information. Their contact info is in the Cornerstone Directory and on our website.
