Enrichment

Our Elective Enrichment Options

One of the advantages of having your student attend Cornerstone School is the ability to enroll them in one or several of the enrichment programs offered on-site during the school year. Registration and fees for these programs are separate from Cornerstone tuition and are paid directly to the program provider. The programs are designed and offered by area experts in their fields. Classes begin at 1:00 pm. A student dismissed at that time can be brought directly to class by a staff member, and parents can pick them up when the class is over. Those students who spend a longer day at Cornerstone will be brought back to class by a staff member. Classes begin in the Fall once our students are settled in their classroom routines.

Monday – Little Hearts Yoga

While children learn Yoga poses and breathing techniques, each child will begin to build self-esteem and confidence. Students develop endurance with imagery, repetition, poses, relaxation, and stimulating activities while building strong, healthy bodies, brains, and hearts. Our program teaches students calming meditations and how to think and act with a calm brain and heart. Yoga in school helps improve focus and attention span and helps students become more mindful of their actions.
