Cornerstone School of Summit is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our Pre-K team beginning August 31, 2026.

Our Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create a warm, engaging classroom where four-year-olds learn through play, relationships, and hands-on exploration.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build positive relationships with children
• Assist with classroom activities, routines, transitions, meals, and outdoor play
• Support positive behavior and developing independence
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Communicate and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with young children in a preschool, childcare, camp, or similar setting
• Patience, kindness, dependability, and a sense of humor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to complete required background checks, health clearances, and training

This is an active, hands-on position that requires sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, lifting or assisting young children, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities.
